Cost of Translating Documents

AI translation is paid per document. On Free and Storage it costs $0.005 per word, or $1 per page for scans, images and PDFs without a text layer. Pro lowers that to $0.004 per word ($0.80 per page) and Enterprise to $0.003 ($0.60 per page). A document costs the highest of its word price, its page price and the $0.99 minimum, so 223 words on Free come to $1.12 and a 3-page scan to $3.00. Prices exclude applicable taxes.

An AI translation of a contract or court filing is priced like any other document: $0.005 per word on Free and Storage, less on Pro and Enterprise, with a $0.99 minimum. When a court, USCIS or another authority needs a certified translation, order a human one instead. Certified translation is $25 per page, with certification (+$10) or certification and notarization (+$20) added on top.

Yes. Signing up is free, needs no card and puts you on the Free plan, where you pay only for the documents you translate. A subscription is optional. The first time you pay for a translation, checkout also starts a 14-day free trial of the Storage plan, and you are not charged for it if you cancel before the trial ends.

Yes, a 14-day free trial of Storage. It starts the first time a Free user pays for an AI translation, in the same checkout. If the document is over the Storage limits of 100 MB or 100 pages, the trial is of Pro instead. When the trial ends the plan costs $14.99/month (Pro $49.99/month) until you cancel. It is not offered on human translation orders or on orders that use a promo code.

Yes, from the Billing or Subscriptions page, at any time. Cancelling ends the subscription immediately and the account goes back to Free. Cancel during the 14-day trial and you pay nothing for the plan.

Team access comes with Pro, for up to 5 members, and with Enterprise, for up to 15. Free and Storage do not include it. Pro also adds a glossary.

On Free, uploaded files and translations are permanently removed from our servers within 24 hours, so download your translation soon after it finishes. Storage, Pro and Enterprise keep your files with unlimited storage while the subscription is active.

DocTranslator supports translations in over 120+ languages. The AI rate depends on your plan, not on the language pair, so Japanese costs the same per word as Spanish. Human translation is different: it costs double when neither language is English.

Register for free, upload your document and select the target language. You then pay for that document at checkout or from your account balance, at the rate of your plan: $0.005 per word on Free and Storage and less on Pro and Enterprise, with a $0.99 minimum. A subscription changes the rate, the file limits and the storage. It does not include translations, so there is no monthly allowance to use up.
